Project & Portfolio Manager - Allianz - Bucharest

We are strengthening our Project Management team, and looking for an experienced Project & Portfolio Manager to join our team. The Allianz Technology team are key to ensuring that our engineering solutions enable Allianz to realise our strategic ambitions.

Key Responsibilities: 

Identifies, evaluates and selects projects or services, based on business strategy and requested approvals
Plans and executes the pipeline, reviews funding and planned amortization
Plans, monitors, controls and reports portfolio performance, portfolio risk and escalates issues if necessary, initiates corrective action and/or recommendations
Resolves and/or prepares resolution of inter-portfolio dependencies and risks from a strategic perspective and in a business continuity context
Ensures the accurate decision making following the project portfolio governance obligations according to the global project portfolio management operating model
Advises of project managers, service owners, stakeholders and actively clarifies the process guidelines/ supports them along the approval process, project management and reporting lifecycle
Functional lead of project and program managers to build the local project portfolio management capability including project / program management standards, skill and tools.
Participates in status reporting sessions on project / program level and provides portfolio oversight to all stakeholders
Provides accurate and timely reporting on resource management, utilization, and time recording
Focus on continuous improvement

Skills, Experience & Education:

 Applying strategic, analytical and sustainable thinking and problem solving capabilities
Possessing assertiveness and conflict management skills
Experienced in organizational transformation and change management
Knowledge of relevant products / services, as well as internal standards, processes, rules and procedures (e.g., GRM, CPPC)
Possessing Allianz Technology business and financial acumen
Exceptional problem solving & leadership across various business problems
Understanding of risk management, quality management and delivery management
Living the four Allianz People Attributes: Customer & Market Excellence, Collaborative Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Trust
Experience in Agile framework
Higher degree in economics, finance or engineering
3+ years experience in managing portfolios of projects
10+ years experience & accreditation in program or project management
International certifications in project, program or portfolio management by PMI (PMP, PgMP, PfMP) or IPMA (Level A-D), and in agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, Spotify, Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
User level knowledge of enterprise management systems, ServiceNow PPM, JIRA/JMP, etc.
Encourage and participate in the growth of team members development to build the overall levels of competency across IT in line with the professional development framework. 
Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles and their practical use.
