What you do
As an Ops Performance and Productivity Project Manager, you will report to Performance and Productivity Lead Central at Allianz Partners. You will drive and support various topics around financial and non-financial reporting, planning, forecasting, analysis as well as business cases, transformation projects, management requests and other ad-hoc tasks for the executive & senior management of Allianz Partners COO and other stakeholders.
You will be responsible for:
- Support coordinating the regular reporting, planning, and forecasting of Operations productivity & performance across all business units and lines of business.
- Driving and contributing to the development, implementation, harmonization, optimization, and automation of global Performance and Productivity Team tools and procedures following a global approach with regional & local shaping (e.g., Power BI-based forecasting).
- Collaborating with other functions (within and outside COO) on data initiatives, especially regarding cross-functional interfaces and dependencies (e.g., early warning system with Underwriting & Transformation Office).
- Reviewing & documenting the global Ops Finance & Non-Finance data model/architecture and contributing to a streamlined dataset.
- Teaching & training colleagues on topics around data, processes & tools, as well as Finance literacy.
- Supporting the Global and Central Head of the Performance and Productivity Team on management requests such as productivity deep dives, cost driver analysis, benchmarking, scenario analysis, business cases, strategic initiatives, and similar tasks.
- Supporting & driving the implementation of new standard processes in the global Performance and Productivity Team.
- Contributing to regular reporting, forecasting, and planning to ensure a friction-less and fully integrated global harmonized approach with regional & local shaping.
- Supporting the Global and Central Head of the Performance and Productivity Team on senior management presentations, deep dives, community initiatives, analysis & ad-hoc tasks in close collaboration with other global, regional & local teams, e.g., global COO office, LoB COOs, Finance, Workforce Management, Operations reporting.
- Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data, analytics and cloud-based tools, using insights responsibly with our standards of data governance, security and ethical use.
What you bring
The role requires strong analytical and communication skills. You need to be a team player with a Finance and/or Operations performance management background, high motivation, and energy, eager to learn more about insurance and service business, its core operations, and underlying drivers for cost & productivity.
To succeed in this role, it is also essential to possess:
- 3+ years of experience working within Operations, Finance, IT, audit, consulting, or a similar analytical role with affinity to new technologies.
- A passion for data, technology, and analytics, translating data-driven insights into decisions and actions.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel (incl. VBA) and BI tools; preferably programming skills (e.g., Python).
- IT technical affinity as well as knowledge and practical experience in handling databases and process systems.
- Ability to bring structure into complex issues and have very good analytical skills.
- Passion for managing change and being a good communicator with the ability to thrive in a global setup.
- Comfortable with multiplex setups driven by a large number of (senior) stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
- Proficiently & efficiently working in Excel & PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of BI tools and similar, e.g., Power BI, SAP BO, SQL.
- Fluent in English, additional language as a plus.
