This is a great job for someone with considerable Underwriting expertise who is self-motivated, can lead projects, take ownership, and inspire their colleagues.  The role will suit someone who wants to develop their stakeholder management and strategic thinking and is ready to progress in the next step of their underwriting career.

A bit about the job:

Underwriting is a pivotal function within our company.  The successful candidate will be part of the busy Home Underwriting team in Personal Lines Underwriting.  You will play a part in helping deliver new products, reviewing underwriting strategy and managing risk mitigation as well as understanding the potential new risks we face in areas such as new technology and climate change.  You will have relationships across a wide range of functions and business areas where you will be seen as an expert in Home Underwriting.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

· 
Significant underwriting knowledge and experience.

· 
Knowledge of our Personal Lines Business.

· 
Understanding of Broker Schemes and MGA Underwriting Environment.

· 
Excellent communicator with ability to communicate complex messages at all levels.

· 
Personal drive and capability to deliver at pace whilst managing risk in support of profitable growth strategy.

Starting salary circa £50k (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
