Job description

Are you an experienced Motor Damage Claims Advisor with a passion for technical expertise and a desire to expand your knowledge and skills while ensuring we are there for our customers in their time of need? If so, we have the perfect role for you.

We are delighted to offer the opportunity for a Motor Damage Senior Technical Advisor to join our Claims Customer Experience Team. In this role, you will report to the Motor Damage Claims Executive and work with an enthusiastic team of Motor Damage Claims Advisors, Team Leaders, motor engineers and outsource partners, to ensure that our customer and third-party claims are dealt with to the highest standard.

As a Motor Damage Senior Technical Advisor, you will act as a point of technical referral for both Personal and Commercial Motor Damage claims. You will use your expertise and experience to provide guidance and support to the team, helping to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service in their time of need.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·  Act as a point of referral for Claims Advisors on technical motor damage queries.
·  Proactively manage a portfolio of motor damage (AD &TPD) claims, including technically complex claims, ongoing customer engagement, cost delivery, and meeting individual customer needs.
·  Identify and resolve potential risks or complex issues and act as a point of escalation for Claims Advisors.
·  Have a working knowledge of the Irish Insurance claims market and demonstrate the capability of handling a variety of complex motor claims.
·  Identify market trends and provide strategic innovative solutions to improve Aviva’s customer offering.
·  Possess an excellent knowledge of Insurance Principles and all regulations set out by the Central Bank of Ireland, with the ability to apply a practical approach to policy interpretation.
·  Carry out the role in a professional manner, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines while displaying strong interpersonal skills.
·  Support our Underwriting & Product Team in the development of new product offerings.

Relationship Management:

·  Manage relationships with key stakeholders and Outsource Providers.
·  Develop a robust relationship with our Underwriting Team and our Partners.
·  Work closely with your peers on operational matters that deliver GI goals.
·  Support the Claims Management Team in achieving overall team indemnity targets and strategic goals.
·  Work as part of a team that seeks to protect our customers and supports Aviva's "Zero Tolerance" approach to fraud, protecting the business from fraudulent and exaggerated claims.

Reporting and Communication:

·  Timely reporting to Claims Management and stakeholders.

Innovation and Improvement:

·  Identify opportunities to improve the customer journey, the claims handling processes, and financial outcomes for our business.
·  Participate in project work as requested in support of claims strategies.

Skills & Experience:

·  The ideal candidate will be CIP qualified or have an equivalent qualification.
·  Proven experience in management of technical and complex motor claims, including both Customer Damage and Third-Party damage claims.
·  A full and comprehensive understanding of all regulatory frameworks, including the CPC/CICA and GDPR is essential.
·  The successful candidate will possess robust negotiation skills and have a strong focus on customer service.
·  They will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team while possessing excellent interpersonal skills.
·  Effective communication and presentation skills are essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
·  High level of initiative and ability to make real-time decisions based on changing information.
·  Thorough understanding of the general insurance business, motor policy wordings and interpretation.
