Are you someone with experience in the London Financial Lines market, particularly Financial Institutions products? Then we have just the role for you!

The successful candidate will have good communication/people skills and will have to negotiate with the major broking houses in London and meet with large clients (for example FTSE250, major European companies) face to face in pre-renewal client meetings.

A bit about the job:

You will join the Financial Institutions team in GCS. The successful individual will be underwriting Financial Institutions insurance lines, such as Directors and Officers Insurance, Pension Trustee Liability , Public Offerings of Securities insurance, Financial Institutions Crime and Bankers Blanket Bonds, Employment Practices Liability insurance, and Financial Institutions Professional Indemnity, which are the main products in the Financial Institutions insurance suite.

Within this role, you will be responsible for underwriting renewals and new business in line with Global Corporate and Specialty (GCS) strategy, and in line with agreed underwriting authority limits. You will be confident when conversing with stakeholders both internally and externally to deliver business objectives.

You will liaise with key stakeholders from our broker panel, along with leading technical conversations with our clients -so strong communication skills and time management will be important to this role.

This position will suit a motivated and professional individual who is keen to progress their career within a market leading insurer.

We can be flexible on location however, there is a requirement to travel to our London office twice a week.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

· 
Knowledge of Financial Institutions insurance, such as Directors and Officers Insurance, Pension Trustee Liability , Public Offerings of Securities insurance, Financial Institutions Crime and Bankers Blanket Bonds, Employment Practices Liability insurance, and Financial Institutions Professional Indemnity, (policies & cover)

· 
An understanding of complex insurance programs and confidence in reviewing policy wordings

· 
Be interested in business and the macro-economic environment

· 
Build and maintain positive relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to drive business growth

· 
Good negotiating skills
