PMO Resource & Capability Lead

Circa £55k

You will be responsible for managing transformation projects and initiatives within set area(s), providing expertise in transformation methodologies and best practices, simplifying requirements so they are easily understood across the whole team.

You will identify and resolve issues and barriers to successful transformation, whilst working to create functional specifications for new systems and processes.

We are actively recruiting a PMO Resource & Capability Lead within the General Insurance Claims Business Unit. This opportunity for someone who is focused on driving good outcomes and ensuring that best practice is used and shared. Whilst the role has no people management responsibilities, you will be working with a wide range of stakeholders, so somebody with great communication skills would be a great fit.

A bit about the job:

The purpose of this role is to be a key part of the Claims PMO team ensuring the safe delivery of the Claims Change Portfolio to time, cost and quality agreements. As part of this role, you will assess the overall process and look for ways to improve how we deliver change. You will ensure governance is in place across the portfolio and is aligned to the Aviva Change Management Framework and promote the agreed governance with internal and external change colleagues.

This is a varied lead role that will cover: governance, financials, planning and resources, reporting, risks, change effectiveness and engagement. Also providing deputy support to the senior PMO lead.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

· 
Strong organisational / prioritisation skills

· 
Able to demonstrate strong IT skills, with prior experience of using software such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

· 
Personal gravitas and credibility to manage relationships and communicate at all levels, including managing conflict and challenge

· 
Makes things happen – being able to lead and focus on outcomes with a strong sense of responsibility. Cutting through, removing obstacles, and solving problems

· 
Previous PMO or change experience, or GI claims knowledge a bonus

Starting salary circa £55k (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
