Role Description

Technical Support Analyst/Developer (Actuarial) Bristol

A Technical Support Analyst responsible for the end to end monthly delivery of data to support actuarial reporting. Working alongside the Technical Support Lead you will be responsible for execution of process and support aligned to month end plans, supporting data and process related queries, owning and routing out incidents and supporting the development life cycle with insight, process and data knowledge.

Role Purpose

· Responsible for supporting the end to end monthly delivery of policy data files to Actuarial Reporting Production from both the Data Warehouse component of TARDIS and Heritage Decoupled Solution (HDS) systems.
· Responsible for ensuring both TARDIS developments in Data Warehouse and other Data developments are robust and meet business needs
· Ensuring effective stakeholder management of change with impacted business teams and IT&C delivery teams
· Working closely with data warehouse colleagues in IT&C to ensure change is delivered effectively and that TARDIS releases are fully integrated into production.
· Supporting and carrying out analysis on data related queries.
· Ensuring TARDIS data control report are run and are fit for analysis by the Data Quality team.
· Acting as a data expert in support of queries from the Actuarial Reporting Production Team.
· Manages the production of Assets Data Warehouse data and Equity Release
· Support the IT road map on integration of actuarial processes

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

· Numerate and analytical with a developed capability to interpret data and establish alternatives and solutions to complex problems.
· Understanding of the Actuarial Systems architecture, project lifecycles and controllership principles.
· Experience of working with actuarial liability systems and data.
· Strong degree of computer literacy with innovative application.
· Strong focus on process excellence.
· Understanding of need for a strong control environment in financial reporting.
· Experience of supporting projects.
· Broad experience of working in a financial reporting environment.
· Understand the needs of our end customers.
· Ability to support and task manage a small team of software engineers, focusing on their overall performance, personal development and workload balance.
· Strong communication skills, and task management skills, with the ability to build a collaborative team environment.
· Ability to influence and make key decisions.
