Job description

Aviva Ireland's People Function is currently seeking an accomplished Reward leader to take ownership of Aviva Ireland’s total rewards and benefits program, for our General and Life Insurance businesses. In this role you will manage the total reward agenda, ensuring we provide our employees with a comprehensive suite of offerings, setting ourselves apart from our industry competitors while managing cost and operational risk.

The position will be based in our Dublin 18 Cherrywood office, with a hybrid working arrangement.

What you'll do:

· 
As a member of the Ireland HR Leadership Team, participate in influencing, developing and implementing total reward strategies to support the delivery of Aviva’s corporate strategy.

· 
As a member of the Global Rewards Leadership Team, participate in developing and implementing global reward strategies and aligning practices across Aviva markets as appropriate.

· 
The role is responsible for all Compensation, Payroll and Benefits administration including Pensions (working with Finance) and will act as a trusted advisor providing expert advice and guidance to senior partners when making key decisions on reward and benefit programs and tools.

· 
You will prepare and present high quality reward related papers and presentations to two Executive and Remuneration Committees for our Life and General Insurance businesses.

· 
You will be responsible for regulatory compliance (including Solvency II and reporting such as GPG) and Reward Governance in line with Aviva governance frameworks.

· 
Working closely with the Heads of People and Talent Acquisition Lead for the local businesses, you will support senior executive transactions (Joiners and Leavers to ensure rewards align with talent strategy and are in line with reward policy.

· 
Drive and support the execution and delivery of our compensation processes (Performance, Merit, Bonus, Benchmarking Pay Ranges, Job Architecture).

· 
Collaborate on the development of employee communications promoting our Colleague Value Proposition, including on-going employee education efforts.

· 
Lead and support all reward and benefits projects including documenting of policies and procedures, system configuration and testing, promotion/communications.

· 
You will be providing mentorship and oversight to the wider Irish HR Team and integrate with colleagues within other HR COEs and HR Business partners to ensure joined up HR delivery in Ireland (e.g. Policy, IR, Global Mobility). Keeping up to date with employment law and market trends and through collaboration with COEs you will ensure best practice and applicable legislation is embedded in broader HR policies and processes. 

What you'll bring:

· 
Insurance and/or Financial Service senior industry expertise a must

· 
Substantial experience demonstrating a record of leading significant HR interventions (from initial diagnostic phase through to delivery) which contribute to business success.

· 
Your total reward expertise should encompass Strategic design formulation through to operational execution.

· 
Experience as part of an HR (or other) leadership team in setting the strategic direction of a medium to large complex operational / service organization.

· 
Experience operating within a matrixed, multi-site environment (three sites in Ireland)

·
