Senior Credit Research Analyst – London

A bit about the job:

This is a credit research role providing investment recommendations on securities issued by industrials-focused companies to support portfolio construction decisions across both investment grade and high yield credit markets. Knowledge of and experience in distressed investment processes would be desirable.  The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for covering debt issuers in the industrials and commodities with a geographic focus on European companies. You will use your judgment and experience to make fund management recommendations. You will work collaboratively with research colleagues across AI, fund managers and other AI research and strategy teams to formulate and underpin security selection recommendations.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

· 
Experience of investment grade and/or high yield debt capital markets from a buy side asset manager, sell side investment bank or rating agency

· 
Knowledge of and experience in distressed investment processes would be desirable

· 
The ability to deliver investment opinions that contribute to superior, risk adjusted results

· 
Quickly able to develop and build relevant modelling tools

· 
Authoritative within area of expertise alongside a good level of broader macroeconomic knowledge

· 
Well-developed problem solving, decision making and communication skills

In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
