Senior Credit Rating Analyst - London

This is a great job for someone who is a credit rating specialist that would like to work to support new business growth at Aviva.

A bit about the job:

You will be part of the AIRA Credit Function, that is responsible for managing credit risk and assigning internal credit ratings for private debt assets within Aviva Investors Real Assets. This role will sit in a new team within AIRA Credit that would be dedicated to the development and maintenance of credit rating methodologies that are currently being undertaken. The role is pivotal to supporting investment in new and existing debt classes and ensuring the correct application of approved methodologies. This role is essential to supporting the growth strategy of the business and ensuring it is underpinned by strong governance.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

· 
Understanding of the fundamentals required to derive a credit rating with the ability to apply this across a broad set of sectors, with experience in working on structured finance methodologies.

· 
Knowledge of good governance and documentation principals required when establishing a new credit rating methodology.

· 
Ability to research existing ECAI methodologies to support the creation of new methodologies and ensure current methodologies remain in line with broader industry best practice.

· 
Capacity to link theoretical rating knowledge to commercial decision making to support appropriate debt structuring.

· 
Strong written and oral communication skill, and stakeholder management

· 
Experience at an established External Credit Assessment Institution (Rating Agency) or prior experience in creating and using private debt rating methodologies in an asset management function is required.
