Property Underwriting Manager – North Region
This is a great role for someone who has a strong technical background in Property Class underwriting, who has a desire to be accountable for a regional portfolio of business in excess of £100m, working as part of a team to help shape and manage the account to meet our regional ambitions across our four key pillars of Growth, Customer, Efficiency and Sustainability.
A bit about the job:
As a Property Underwriting Manager, you will develop and implement the underwriting strategy for the Property Line of Business in the North Region as Technical Owner and Class Specialist, working closely with the Regional Underwriting Manager, Head of Trading and trading teams. It is expected that you will portfolio manage the book, utilising data and insight to ensure that the business continues to grow profitability, whilst also supporting the Region to improve its performance through Underwriting, Capability, Governance and Efficiency initiatives.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
To have excellent communication, listening, time management and negotiating skills
Strong Property Class underwriting experience & experience of portfolio management
Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation
Experience providing technical leadership and influencing collaborators (stakeholders)
Diploma or ACII qualified, or working towards qualification
