Do you want to help us champion Lifestyle claims and tell Aviva’s Specialty Claims story? The Lifestyle team is looking for a Property Adjuster to join our Desk Adjusting team!

The Lifestyle Property Adjuster will provide stationary claims handling services with a key focus on quality and customer service. Regions serviced include Canada as well as watercraft losses in the United States and Caribbean.

What you'll do:

The role is focused on Lifestyle product claims while adhering to the protocols established and led by Aviva Specialty Claims. As part of this job you will:

· 
Review and analyze policies, contractor estimates and technical reports to assess the value of a claim and negotiate and settle it accordingly

· 
Carry an active pending of Lifestyle Property claims including losses that are > $75k

· 
Make independent decisions and problem solve within designated authority

· 
Effectively advise and counsel the customer on Specialty product knowledge and provide prompt and exemplary customer service

· 
Use your experience and product knowledge to mentor and maintain junior staff technical handling progression

· 
Assist the Front Line Claims Manager by participating in projects and contributing to process improvement on an ongoing basis

· 
Collaborate with other regional claims teams and underwriting, sharing information that will have a positive impact on the business

What you'll bring:

· 
1-2 years of insurance claims experience (property and/or auto)

· 
Demonstrate a passion for Lifestyle claims

It is considered an asset if you have:

· 
Completed or are working towards completion of the Insurance Institute Program (CIP / FCIP)

· 
A post-secondary diploma or degree

· 
Exposure to property or auto physical damage claims and/or specialty products including watercraft claims up to $75,000 or more

· 
Prior field adjusting experience

Salary range: $44,200 - $82,200
