Are you someone with significant experience in the London Directors and Officers Liability (D&O) market? Then we have just the role for you! This is a great opportunity for someone with strong communication/people skills and the ability to negotiate with the major broking houses in the London Market. You will help lead a tenacious and dedicated team whilst progressing your career with one of the UK's market leading insurers! 

We can be flexible on location however, there is a requirement to travel to our London office three times a week.

A bit about the job:

You will join the Management Liability team in Global Corporate and Specialty (GCS). The successful individual will be underwriting Directors and Officers Liability insurance, Pension Trustees Liability and Public Offerings of Securities insurance which are the main products in the Management Liability insurance suite.

You will report to the Head of ML and will assist the development and implementation of the Management Liability underwriting strategy, help lead a team of underwriters, take the lead in technical conversations, be responsible for underwriting renewals and new business in line with GCS strategy. You will be confident when conversing with collaborators both internally and externally, including face to face with large international clients, to deliver business objectives.

This senior position demands outstanding leadership, critical thinking, and in-depth knowledge of underwriting within this sector. This position will suit a motivated and professional individual, with strong London Market experience, who is keen to progress their career within a market leading insurer.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

·  In-depth knowledge of Directors and Officers Liability insurance, Pension Trustees Liability and Public Offerings of Securities insurance (policies & cover)
·  In-depth knowledge of US Domiciled D&O business, ideally with Lloyd’s experience
·  Proficient in the structuring and placement of complex international insurance programs and bespoke wordings for niche and larger risks
·  Be interested in business and the macro-economic environment and a high level of integrity, ethical conduct, and professionalism
·  Build and maintain positive relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to drive business growth as well as good negotiating skills along with experience training junior members of staff
