Legal Counsel – Luxembourg

This is a great job for someone who has legal experience in the Fund Industry with an asset manager, fund service provider or law firm in Luxembourg, working on real asset investment funds.

A bit about the job:

This role is in the legal team which supports our real asset investment fund range in Luxembourg. Aviva Investors’ real asset business is growing rapidly as a result of our investment expertise and our leadership in responsible investment . This means that the successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of work and will have the opportunity to become involved in the development of innovative new fund products with a sustainability focus.

You will provide legal support and advice in relation to the funds (mainly AIFs), ensuring appropriate support in relation to the development of new fund products, maintenance of the existing fund range and execution of asset transactions. This will include:

· 
drafting legal documentation (including prospectus, articles of incorporation and related documents, supplier agreements for the funds)

· 
company secretarial activities

· 
monitoring applicable regulatory changes and provide effective proposals to address such changes,

· 
acting as primary liaison with internal and external legal counsels, regulators, service providers

In delivering the above, you will work closely with internal stakeholders including finance managers, fund accounting oversight team, product development, compliance, risk, middle-office, marketing, project, operations, portfolio management teams, asset managers and analysts.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

· 
Experience working with UCIs/RAIFs/AIFs or on other private fund structures in the real asset space (real estate debt and equity, infrastructure debt and equity, private debt)

· 
Good knowledge of Luxembourg fund law and regulation (including ESG regulations)

· 
Analytical, problem solving, business analysis skills
