Internal Claims Adjuster – Salary £30.000
Aviva are looking for an experienced Internal Claims Adjuster to provide a customer focused & cost-effective service by managing claims from instruction to completion as part of our Regional Desk Operations team.
Your role will involve undertaking desk (virtual) assessments of lower to mid complexity, focusing on claims suitable for the virtual assessment category with delegated authority of up to £10k (in line with leaders & independent oversight).
You will apply your building pathology expertise to drive excellence in the claims validation and routing process by effectively scoping work using a pricing schedule..
A bit about the job:
Working as an Insurance desk adjustor, you will demonstrate effective cost management on all claims, evidenced by control of cost/indemnity within policy, principles and standards as well virtually assess, validate & quantify all types of property claims in line with policy cover.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Good knowledge of the insurance industry related to home property.

Ability to estimate building costs for repairs, this involves creating schedule of works using defined schedules of rates
·
Working knowledge of health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation including Asbestos regulations
·
Commitment to building own knowledge, technical, theory and practical, through mentoring, undertaking courses and independent learning
Qualifications:

BDMA accreditation (desirable)
·
Accreditation to CII, CIOB, CILA, RICS (desirable)

Salary £30,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
