Aviva is pleased to announce the start of our recruitment for our Summer Intern Program for the period of May 2024 to August 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for post-secondary students to gain exposure to the insurance industry. We are currently looking for summer interns to join our health and safety team. Aviva realizes the importance of creating internships as a means to develop talent to meet future requirements for entry-level insurance roles.
What you’ll do:

Development and maintenance of procedure documentation
·
Support the implementation of the health and safety management system
·
Partnering with key stakeholders in developing site H&S programs
·
Support creation of training materials and conduct H&S training
·
Participate in investigations and risk assessments
·
Contribute to the development of risk mitigation and crisis management strategies
·
Maintain evidence of H&S program compliance.
·

What you need to succeed:
·
Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program required, , Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Safety, Environmental Science, Health Science , Sports Medicine or a related field
·
Proficient with various computer programs, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
·
Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
·
Ability to multi-task and take initiative
·
Experience in customer service and working with a diverse group of people
·
Interest in HSE or business and the demonstrated ability to learn and grow
·
Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
·
Ability to critically think and problem solve
