Group Transformation Design Manager

Salary circa £60,000

We are looking for a Transformation Design Manager to work alongside our Transformation Leadership community to improve how we design, shape, prioritise and connect our portfolios, programmes and projects leading to us investing into the right things, at the right time and in the right order. It is truly an outstanding and critical role that would give you the opportunity to design and shape our transformation initiatives across the Group Transformation portfolio. You will build and then own the new 'Front Door ' into our Group wide Transformation portfolio which includes engagement with all stakeholders within the business, translating business ambition into the correct portfolios of work leading to efficient and effective design and execution of our most strategically important projects and programmes. You will use your experience to detect Transformation risk and work in partnership with all lines of defence to ensure these risks are known and well managed at the outset.

A bit about the job:

As the Transformation Design Lead, you will be accountable for leading and then accepting the quality of design thinking and outcomes obtained through the new Aviva Shaping Forum leading to better informed mobilisation centric risk assessment and project design / setup, including allocation of appropriate risk-based governance and executive oversight. To achieve this, you will recommend that a new project / programme is ready to exit Mobilisation and progress towards Delivery including owning the need to escalate repeat non-achievement of minimum project design / shaping standards to both Market TransCos and Group Transformation Committee (GTC). 

The role holder will also be accountable for the design and operation of the Aviva Transformation Benefits framework including holding Group wide executive leaders to account for realisation of Strategic plan benefits and support the Group Transformation Office in the collective assessment of the do-ability of strategic initiatives – with laser focus on managing effective prioritisation – for all the critical / higher risk programmes across the Group.  A significant part of this role is the need to work closely and collaboratively with Transformation leaders and Transformation community across the Group.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

You will need to promote leading Business Case design, Project Design and Prioritisation methodologies and practices across the Transformation community

· 
You will know how to build, nurture, and utilise community experience to lead to an overall improvement in the robustness of project design undertaken within the mobilisation phase of all Aviva projects and programmes

· 
You will be able to build and utilise a deep awareness and understanding of Wealth, Retirement and General Insurance markets /Functional priorities, transformation roadmap and key requirements for each initiative

· 
You will have worked with Transformation leaders to develop strong & robust business cases and to support them in unblocking dependencies and interdependencies

· 
You will be an expert in building business case, project design and prioritisation practical skills across the Group – fostering a community of collaboration, ongoing dialogue and engagement and ensuring consistent best practice. This includes developing a continuous improvement culture across this community. and you will have obtained all these skills / experience whilst operating effectively within an environment of good control and governance

Starting salary circa £60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
