Job description

Aviva in Norwich are now looking for an Operations Analyst in Norwich. This role would fit somebody looking for a challenge and the opportunity to take on responsibility for administering large reinsurance arrangements in an accurate and efficient manner in our DBS Solutions team.

DBS Solutions plays a key role in providing pension schemes with solutions to meet the needs of pension scheme sponsors, trustees and members. The Reinsurance Team within Aviva is integral in achieving this ambition by working with reinsurance companies and pension schemes to craft capital efficient solutions. The Reinsurance Operations Team specifically has sole responsibility for the ongoing administration of all in force reinsurance arrangements within DBS Solutions.

Some of the role’s duties & responsibilities:

  • Producing accurate monthly account materials for a portfolio of reinsurance arrangements, ensuring that a robust control framework and audit trail process is adhered to
  • Carrying out detailed analysis of insured data extracts
  • Assisting the actuarial team with developing, implementing and coordinating new and existing products
  • Considering risk and control framework and ways to make improvements where possible
  • Participating in team training sessions within the Reinsurance Operations team and other parts of the Group where applicable (which may involve occasional travel to the London and York offices)

Skills & experiences required:

  • A degree in a numerical field (sciences, economics, mathematics, etc.)
  • Strong familiarity with excel and processing spreadsheets
  • Strong attention to detail and catching errors/patterns in data
