We have an excellent opportunity in our Global Corporate & Specialty (GCS) Auto claims team. We are actively recruiting for a Sr. Commercial Auto Claims Specialist based out of our Oakville Centre of excellence. GCS is an exciting and fast-growing area within Aviva where you will manage Complex and high value Commercial Auto claims for Aviva’s largest corporate and program business customers. We’re looking for someone with a passion for growing their technical proficiency across a variety of commercial auto products and truly embodies a client centered approach to claims handling and problem solving.
What you’ll do:

You will champion the GCS brand by supporting and delivering against our Claims Value proposition which delivers dedicated, tailored claim service to Aviva Canada’s largest commercial Auto risks and programs.

Adjudicate complex and large loss Commercial Auto Claims across Canada
·
Deliver a best-in-class claims experience by guiding customers through the claims process by clearly explaining their coverage and the steps required to bring their claim to a timely resolution.

Deliver against customer specific service level agreements captured within account specific claims handling procedures.
·
Understand what matters to customers and respond to each unique situation by setting clear expectations with internal and external customers (Brokers & Clients) at the outset so that any problems are identified and addressed before they get serious.

Manage financial accuracy with thorough Indemnity and Expense management and utilization of Aviva preferred service providers and vendors.
·
You will resolve larger and more complex claims within your authority levels and recommend settlement and/or seek assistance from additional internal or external stakeholders as necessary.

You will proactively monitor and manage the integrity of data and reserves in accordance with company procedures and policies to ensure adequate financial records.
·
You will on occasion oversee(examine) and work with external adjusting providers to ensure compliance with Aviva best practices.

You will maintain current knowledge of automobile insurance and relevant regulatory and market changes with the guidance and support of your senior leadership team.
·
Identify and collaborate as a team to improve system conditions that impact the service for our customers, the environment for our people and our financial performance.
·
Identify opportunities to continuously improve through the removal of waste and failure.
·
Communicate effectively with confidence, curiosity, courage and in a collaborative manner
·
You will be exposed to and work closely with a cross functional team across GCS, including Underwriting, Loss Prevention, and our Claims Service Managers,
·
Support our QA framework with the periodic review of file quality for our external adjusting partners
·
Perform other duties as required to support to overall team and company goals.
What you’ll bring
·
2+ years of Commercial Auto claims handling experience with proficiency handling complex and high value claims across various product type’s(i.e. Scheduled and Bulk Rated fleets, Garage Auto(SPF 4), Lessor Contingent(SPF 8), Non-Owned Auto(SPF 6)
·
CIP or FCIP designation or be actively working towards your designation (C48 an asset)

University degree or College Diploma or equivalent Auto claims experience.
·
Exceptional oral and written communication skills that inspires confidence and credibility.
·
Strong negotiation abilities and problem solving skills.
·
Proficiency in claims applications such as ClaimCenter, Mitchell, Five9
·
A voice that will constructively challenge, contribute, and share towards the betterment of our team, culture and how we work.
·
French language skills considered an asset.
·
Provincial Adjusting licenses in NB, NFLD & PEI an asset
