We are looking for a Finance Allocation Manager who will be focused on the management, execution and implementation of operational improvement initiatives for Aviva Canada’s standard finance mass allocations and customized allocations within Oracle Fusion and PCMCS.

The role ensures the mass allocation assignment which supports Aviva’s management reporting, financial and actuarial reporting, is properly implemented without errors during month end. This role also supports the Finance Operation – Process Improvement team to roll out improvement initiatives to streamline the finance accounting & operational processes. The areas of interest in this position will cover automation of allocation job, ensure key controls exist, assist in process redesign in management reporting, results packages and finance dashboard reporting.

What you’ll do:

· 
Supervise the execution of allocation routines at month end

· 
Perform the control check on a monthly basis to prevent financial error

· 
Manage all allocation documentations incl. allocation checklist, allocation control reports, journal extraction files, etc.

· 
Work closely with the Finance System Manager at month-end time to ensure PCMCS journals are processed in a timely manner

· 
Support Sr Finance Manager and PCMCS Consultant to complete UAT for Finance projects

What you’ll bring:

· 
Bachelor’s degree in Finance Accounting or Business Administration / Commerce

· 
Accounting designation or working toward to completion (CMA, CGA, CPA, CA)

· 
3+ years of financial analysis and reporting, preferably in the banking or insurance industry with direct experience with managing fixed assets and expense allocations process

· 
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

· 
Advanced EBR (Oracle or SAP) and Essbase skills will be an asset.

· 
Solid knowledge of accounting principles (CGAAP and IFRS)

· 
Attention to detail

· 
Good organizational skills

· 
Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines

· 
Ability to multi-task and work well under time constraints

· 
Strong communication skills
