We are currently recruiting for a Data Risk and Controls Business Partner to be a part of our 1st Line Customer and Marketing Risk team (C&M). This is truly an amazing opportunity to be a part of our crucial and exciting journey to enhance our data capability.  You will join the team at an interesting time to provide your guidance and ensure we create a safe, secure and world class data system that powers amazing customer experiences.

This role could be ideal for you if you enjoy/currently working in a data risk role, focusing on data management regarding customer’s details along with change activity. Including managing risk related to delivery of key transformation initiatives (e.g., a new data platform), identification of change delivery risks and new operational risks related to new initiatives going live and analysing and improving controls environment for data systems, platforms and utilisation of customer data.

A bit about the job:

As the Data Risk and Controls Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing data risk expertise within the 1st Line C&M Risk team, working closely with the Chief Data Officer and their teams to support safe and efficient delivery of our day to day and key strategic change activities. The activity underway will build stronger data foundations and capability which will enable a step change in our customer experience and ability to deliver OneAviva.

You will be responsible for overseeing the data eco-system and providing required risk assurance across run and change activities to the Data Director. You would achieve this by identifying and assessing data risk through ongoing analysis/oversight of key business processes and change initiatives to identify potential risk areas and required mitigating actions that need to be implemented across the function.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

· 
Data risk, controls and change management experience with the ability to provide written inputs to key governance and risk papers for C&M, and specific data submissions

· 
Comfortable with collaborating with other risk management functions and key stakeholders, to ensure that relevant risk owners are aware of and engaged as appropriate on data process or change activity that could impact to their accountabilities

· 
Experience with providing guidance, advice and recommendations to senior management on data risk management strategies, whilst ensuring that an effective risk management operating rhythm is in place across the function

· 
Good experience with embedding standards around risk culture and leading on key activities to improve such as the development, implementation and monitoring of process improvement, training and education at all levels

· 
Ability to keep up to date with emerging risks, industry trends and regulatory changes, assess their impact and ensure that best practices are embedded in day-to-day operations whilst upholding a high level of visibility in the risk management community

Salary between £80,000 - £100,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
