This is a great job for someone who has Responsible investment experience, with a focus on proxy voting and company engagement.
A bit about the job:
This role presents an exciting opportunity to be directly involved in voting and corporate governance activity for our investee companies, and to support the delivery of investment and sustainable outcomes for our clients. You’ll work alongside investment and ESG teams, meet investee companies, and gain knowledge of their strategies, and governance and sustainability practices. Reporting to the Head of Governance and Voting, this permanent role based in London, will help deliver team objectives related to proxy voting, company engagement and ESG integration. You’ll also support the development of market leading and investment focussed voting and responsible investment policies and positions. You will also work alongside Climate, Social and Biodiversity experts to integrate ESG considerations in voting actions.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Demonstrable knowledge of the proxy voting process, including policy development, research, execution, and operations.

Good understanding of financial markets and how existing and emerging ESG considerations can impact investment performance.
·
Highly organised approach and deadline driven.
·
Great all-round communicator, able to embed themselves in a team-based culture, demonstrate collaborative behaviours and drive decision making and outcomes.
·
Awareness and understanding of material ESG trends, investment themes, ESG-related policy and regulation and key stakeholders.

In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
