Aviva currently have a vacancy for a Compliance Officer. This position is designed to assist the Head of Compliance in implementing, reviewing and amending the Company’s Compliance Policy, Compliance Plan, and other relevant procedures to ensure staff are aware of the role of the Compliance function and their role in ensuring the company acts in a manner compliant with regulation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· 
Support the Head of Compliance and wider Compliance team to maintain the Company’s Compliance Framework in terms of oversight of compliance with existing legislation, identification of emerging legislation, regulatory and conduct control environment and ongoing involvement in business and regulatory projects in order to provide the Head of Compliance, senior management and the Board with assurance that Aviva Insurance Limited is compliant with all relevant regulatory and conduct obligations.

Support the business in responding to the changing regulatory landscape.  Be aware of new and emerging legislation and the impact of same on AIIDAC and work with the business units to ensure efficient, effective, and timely implementation.

· 
Ensure that any breaches of regulation are recorded and reported to internal and external parties as appropriate, ensuring adequate incident reports are compiled, reviewing remedial actions and overseeing implementation of these actions.

· 
Support the development and maintenance of relationships with the various regulators as well as assisting with regulatory inspections and ensuring that any follow up actions are closed out.

· 
Review products at the various stages of the product approval process, documents, and marketing materials for compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and signing off / approving such products and literature for production and circulation into the public domain.

· 
Represent the Compliance function where necessary in any Project / Proposition Working Groups and make decisions on behalf of the Compliance function to ensure such projects / propositions progress within agreed timeframes to enable the business to meet its strategic objectives.

· 
Assist the compliance monitoring manager in identifying areas for compliance review, where appropriate carrying such reviews and working with the business in closing out any issues that such reviews may highlight.

· 
Conduct tailored training with relevant business areas as outlined in the annual Compliance plan and provide input into system based regulatory and conduct training content. 

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

· 
Knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. CPC

· 
LCI Qualification is desirable

· 
Substantial Life insurance or General insurance compliance experience.

· 
Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.

· 
Take ownership of issues and share learning’s and feedback with the team.

· 
Comfortable in a constantly changing environment.
