Aviva has an excellent opportunity in our Small, Medium and Enterprise (SME) commercial insurance business unit. Currently, we are seeking a Commercial Auto Underwriter to join our team at the Ottawa Branch.

What You’ll Do:
· Assess and evaluate the risk for new and existing business (Fleet, Garage)
· Analyze reports to resolve adequate exposure and loss ratings.
· Maintain awareness of market trends, pricing levels and policy form amendments.
· Manage and negotiate renewal terms for the retention of business.
· Apply loss control and risk management practices in the underwriting process.
· Respond to inquiries from brokers regarding modification to policy files in a timely and efficient manner.
· Work with brokers to develop new businesses.
· Build and maintain excellent broker relationships and management of assigned broker portfolios.
· Provide excellent customer service.
What You’ll Bring:
· 1+ years of commercial Auto underwriting (Fleet, Garage) experience.
· CIP is an asset
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal and administration skills.
· Highly motivated and hard-working.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
· Good digital literacy.
· Knowledge of the RTM system is an asset
