Our Property Claims team is looking for Catastrophe Field Adjusters!

Do you want to help people in their greatest time of need? When a catastrophe hits, our customers rely on us the most to quickly respond and help them recover. We are building a catastrophe (CAT) team to be our boots on the ground response when a severe weather event happens. Although this Catastrophe Field Adjuster role will be home based, you will deploy to the location of a severe weather event impacting our customers to inspect, write damage estimates and help our customers through the claims process. You would be expected to respond within 24 hours notice and 365 days a year. Extended work hours and weekend work will be required while working a CAT event and when not responding to a CAT, you will be supporting the business as needed.

What you’ll do:

· 
Completes on site and/or virtual inspections of personal and commercial claims

· 
Responsible for gathering the scope of damages and writing repair estimates to settle claims

· 
Reconciles and validates vendor estimates to ensure price and scope is appropriate

· 
Investigate by meeting with insureds, third parties, witnesses and lawyers in or order to obtain facts and information.

· 
Review facts, policy, technical reports, fire marshall reports, case law, and make decisions on coverage, value of the claim and negotiate/settle the claim accordingly

· 
Responsible for providing exemplary customer service and keeping related parties informed of the claims status.

· 
Responsible for data accuracy, issuance of payments to insureds, vendors and other insurance companies.

· 
Supports the business as needed when not deployed

· 
Correspond with third parties, lawyers, insureds, brokers and individuals or companies who have an interest in the claim settlement.

What you’ll bring:

· 
2+ years experience as a Field adjuster handling Personal Lines and Commercial lines claims

· 
Strong background in Property Insurance

· 
Preference given to a candidate with the ability to scope damages and prepare an estimate for repairs

· 
Good PC skills and adaptable using new technology

· 
Valid drivers license
