This would be a great role for someone with excellent sales and relationship building skills, who has been working in a Financial Services environment recently and is now keen to further develop their Business Development (BD) career for a reputable brand like Aviva. We are also keen to find Sales / BD professionals who have gained exposure to working with Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs) and/or within the Platform market!

A bit about the job:

The BDMt is the “voice of Aviva” for Advised Platform Sales and will lead and work closely with an aligned team of PACs, Distribution Support and Investment Specialists to maximise new business opportunities and retain platform assets from Financial Advisers. The Team will focus on all Advisers within their panel, paying particular attention to Business Planning through their Quarterly Territory Reviews and local and wider initiatives.

You will get the opportunity to work closely with a range of our chosen advisory firms and their independent financial advisers (IFAs) / paraplanners, providing expert support to them as well as developing & strengthening business relationships, using our Advised platform daily. This a telephony-based position, which will also include organising and conducting video meetings over MS Teams with IFAs – this will be a split of both new business calls, as well as managing existing client relationships, therefore having a confident attitude to winning new business will be crucial!

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

· 
Recognised QCF level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or at least working towards to this)

· 
Strong understanding of the Financial Services market and the role of IFAs – ideally thanks to working in the Platform market

· 
Excellent communication and relationship building skills – both internal and external

· 
Strong teamwork ethic, matched with ability to work well autonomously too

· 
 Passion for sales and winning new business
