Bilingual Corporate Security Manager (English/French)

The Corporate Security Manager is responsible for providing physical security controls & governance while being the subject matter expertise to the Canadian business divisions, applying standards, and ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and processes.

This is a key role in ensuring Aviva follows all regulatory requirements for securing the organizations physical security buildings, assets, business, and personnel. The role also includes but not limited to security performance monitoring, measured, and reported of the Aviva Group standards, in a cycle of continuous improvements.

This position will be based out of the Aviva Head Office, located in Markham, Ontario, with up to 30% travel to other Aviva offices across Canada. This role will report into the Senior Corporate Security Manager of Aviva Canada. This role requires a candidate who is bilingual (English & French) in both written and oral skills.

What you’ll do:

· 
Take accountability for delivery of security services, and for strategy, standards, and governance.

· 
The Corporate Security Manager of Controls & Governance is part of the wider Canadian Corporate Security Leadership team and has a role in supporting and leading the Group Security Standards, Controls, Policies, and assigning findings to the team.

· 
Drive improved value, SLAs, and invoicing of possible 3rd party contracts in the security team.

· 
Set the Canadian standard while being in line with the U.K. standards for the physical security of Aviva buildings, assets, and personnel.

· 
Ensure that annual location security reviews and/or analysis are completed throughout the year while assigning, managing, and governing findings or improvements to different business divisions.

· 
Work with Security Service Vendor to complete Preventative Maintenance across the locations by reviewing the documented reports and governing the risk levels and outcomes.

· 
Be involved in development and implementation of Security tools to support the physical security teams progress on advancement of technology solutions.

· 
Provide specific focus and expertise to protect Aviva from the risks associated with terrorism (both local and foreign), malicious intrusion.

What you’ll bring:

· 
Must be bilingual (French and English) with written and oral being proficient in both languages.

· 
Proven ability to develop and implement physical security management systems across multiple jurisdictions.

· 
In-depth knowledge of threat vectors for a large global financial services organization.

· 
Formal qualification in Physical Security Management, or equivalent, or corporate organization with a demonstrated ability (5 years+) operating at a managerial level.

· 
Ability to make decisions and deliver security solutions in a fast paced environment.

· 
Ability to manage multiple sophisticated activities simultaneously to short timescales.

· 
A strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.

· 
Experience engaging with all levels of management and communicating complex technical issues to a range of audiences.

· 
Experience managing security incidents in an elaborate enterprise environment.

· 
Experience in managing and conducting complex investigations into physical security breaches.

· 
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to get the best out of people.

· 
Ability to be on an on-call rotation for critical issues, and business impacts.

· 
Must be bilingual (French and English) with written and oral being proficient in both languages.

· 
An excellent understand of Microsoft driven products including, Teams, SharePoint, Tasks, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc…

· 
Other assets are security applications such as Software House, Avigilon, and Resolver knowledge.
