ASEC is an international team that delivers actuarial systems used by Aviva business units around the world. Team is mainly focused on maintenance and development of in-house built models that support calculation of Solvency Capital Requirement and IFRS17.
What will you be doing?
·
ALS Prophet coding will be the sole responsibility of this role.
·
Lead the design of code changes to customer facing applications subject to code standards.
·
Create and maintain appropriate documentation of the code, in line with EUC frameworks.
·
Drive forward changes and implement automation.
·
Be comfortable with agile development and working to short timescales.
·
Responsible for technical estimates of changes.
·
Ensure testing is completed in all environments and platform teams have a suitable technical point of contact.
·
Implementation and documentation of coding solutions and decisions will be required to ensure product owner / user expectations are met.
What we’re looking for?

Experienced and adaptable code knowledge.
·
A good understanding of modern code development practices.
·
Ability to work and test tasks through to completion.
·
Ability to work in an agile way.
·
Work in a cross functional team together to meet business objectives.
·
Background in ALS Prophet system
·
With profit products knowledge
·
Good critical thinking and proven problem-solving abilities.
·
Experience and track record will be considered in place of specific qualifications, coding qualifications preferred.
