About the Team
As Senior Actuarial Model and Systems Analyst your position will sit within the Actuarial Model and Systems team. Initially this role will play a key part of a strategic change programme to reshape the end-to-end actuarial reporting models, processes, and systems. This will involve implementing new technology and techniques to optimise the end-to-end Actuarial Reporting models and processes.
On an on-going basis the Actuarial Model and Systems analyst will support the development and maintenance of our Actuarial models and processes. This role will require close liaison with other peer Actuarial and Finance team members.

Location: Cherrywood, Dublin 18 with hybrid working
Responsibilities:

Support on the successful delivery of the Actuarial Reporting Strategic Change Programme and future developments.

Support the scoping, development and testing of developments to actuarial models, processes and controls.
·
Documenting the development process and results of testing for user acceptance testing and reports for senior management.
·
Support the Actuarial Reporting team as required including investigating issues, responding to queries and providing guidance.
·
Keep up to date process and procedure documentation of processes and models.
·
Ensure that the processes and controls are maintained to operate effectively to meet Aviva’s standards for financial management and accelerate reporting timelines.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Part Qualified to Nearly Qualified Actuary
·
Experience working on model and systems development (Prophet, SQL, Python, etc.) or running actuarial reporting models and processes. Experience of a workflow systems is ideal.

Up to date knowledge and understanding of actuarial principles and methodology, including Solvency 2 and/or IFRS17
·
Knowledge of the financial structure and operation of life and pensions products and in particular have a strong knowledge of the structures of unit linked, with profit and term insurance products
·
Good problem solver with a delivery focused and flexible attitude
·
Report writing and presentation experience.
·
Demonstrated ability to prioritise and progress multiple deliverables
