Actuarial Manager
£60,000 - £70,000
We are going through an exciting phase of restructuring and this has enabled three managerial roles to open. We have fantastic opportunity for an Actuarial Manager to join our brand-new team! This role would suit someone who understands how Solvency and IFRS17 disclosures are brought together? We are looking for a motivated and organised individuals to join our aggregation team to run the production activities and delivery of various reporting metrics!
A bit about the job:
The roles will cover a range of activities and speciality's in the team and the opportunity undertake other assignments across our wider team. Dealing mainly with actuarial colleagues, this role requires good organisational and analytical skills to ensure that deliveries are met to the required quality and in timely manner. You will lead a small team and work with an offshore team to produce the results and a core part of the role will be to take ownership off the deliveries in areas such as:
· Calculations of liability manuals and the onwards' processing of these
· Producing key inputs of balance sheets and P&L including managing processes that generates SII and IFRS17 disclosures
· Working with a range of tools including spreadsheets, R tools and Qlik. Validating results from Qlik and providing onwards analysis to the wider Reporting team
· Producing stresses for SCR calculations and sensitivities for wider business use. Providing insight into experience variances through our new cashflow matching capability
· Carrying out investigations, supporting the reporting deliveries and embedding change initiatives into the team
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
· Degree level or equivalent
· Understanding of operating processes under controlled environment
· Experience of working in an actuarial reporting team is desired but not compulsory
· Ability to plan work, managing individuals and work with multiple stakeholders
· Ability to present and explain technical information would be useful

· Starting salary between£ 60,000 and £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
