About MARKETING in UI…
We build categories and brands like St Ives, Fluocaril, Horlicks, Hellmann’s, and Cif globally across markets, media and channels, by enhancing brand awareness and brand through creative and effective digital mediums. We launch Unilever brands in new markets and bring them to life.
This role is important because …

You’ll play a central role in unlocking growth opportunity in white space markets in Indo-Pacific Islands (e.g., Fiji, Guam, Maldives, Tahiti etc.) by launching and growing iconic Unilever brands.

You’ll lead brand seeding and scale-up models, leverage digital and shopper marketing, and impactful brand activation to grow penetration and market share.
·
You’ll partner UI Business Groups (BG) to analyse market whitespace opportunities and lead regional BU cross-functional teams to land innovations OTIF (on-time and in-full).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing & NPD
·
Lead holistic marketing plans for brand launch and expansion in Indo Pacific Islands. The role will span across categories (Beauty & Wellbeing, Personal Care, Home Care, Nutrition, Ice Cream) giving an exciting opportunity to work on iconic Unilever brands e.g., Vaseline, Dove, Surf, Hellmann’s, Magnum etc.

Lead creative development and media plan with agencies; POSM development and execution; big & popular activation; with diligent performance tracking and evolution of subsequent plans
·
Collaborate with UI global BG team and regional cross functional team to land NPDs.
Business Performance Analysis & Actions
·
Partner with Business Development Managers (BDMs) to deliver strategic projects and hit incremental revenue, profit growth, and market share targets
·
Lead key business reviews/ presentations in partnership with BDMs
·
Qualify brand seeding opportunities via consumer insights, market analysis, financial feasibility
·
Play a crucial role in the Annual Joint Business Planning exercise with Distributors
·
Own and track Brand Marketing Investment (BMI) budgets
Stakeholder Management
·
Develop strong working relationships with UI global BG teams, regional/ local BDMs, distributor marketing teams, and creative/ media/ activation agencies
·
Share best practices and learnings with wider marketing team and reapply others’ successes
YOU’LL WORK CLOSELY WITH:
·
UI Regional Marketing, Business Development, Supply Chain and Finance based in Singapore
·
UI Global teams across categories (Beauty & Wellbeing, Personal Care, Home Care, Nutrition)
·
Creative and media agencies, brand activation agencies
·
Distributors and retailers (grocery retail, drug-pharma, beauty)
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
·
2-4 years of marketing experience in any category at top-tier FMCG companies
·
Demonstrate strategic mindset, entrepreneurial drive, and a hunger for learning
·
Have effective communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
·
Solid project management skills to independently lead and deliver key initiatives
·
Track record of delivering revenue, profit, market share, and penetration growth
·
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
·
Willing to travel (10% of time) to markets for consumer work, trade visits, distributor meetings
