PROCUREMENT STRATEGY & INSIGHTS
The Procurement Strategy & Insights Team serves as the nerve centre of the Unilever global procurement organization, which enables the procurement organization to design and deliver step-change across the procurement value chain, operating process, and business model. This team is responsible for:
· Sensing and incubating innovative ideas, new business models & transformation programs for value creation as UPLT partners
· Enabling transformation programs, facilitating upskilling of employees, and developing strategy with respective portfolio VPs and PCLF members
· Identifying and scaling up best practices across the global procurement organization
MAIN JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Data Strategy & Digital Lead / Senior Manager, the purpose of this role is:
· Utilizing data to drive future-fit procurement strategy and to create value in competitive buying, portfolio strategy development, resilience & partnership.
· Enable data and insights-driven business decisions.
· Project Management for the Digital program, closely work with both internal and external to make sure the OTIF deliverable.
· Build strategic partnership with other data and digital team across Unilever Organization (e.g. D&A, IT, R&D, Finance)
· Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies for partnerships in market intelligence and competitive buying.
· Improve the user experience and culture, organized the training and digital upskilling sessions across procurement to improvement the overall adoption.

The Assistant Strategy & Insights Manager will interface with the following stakeholders:
· Head of Global Procurement Strategy & Insights and team
· Head of Procurement for Business Group / Portfolio / Supplier Operations and team
· IT Team
· Data & Analytics Team
· R&D Team
· Procurement Finance Team
· Potential vendors and S&I running partners (consultant)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Co-own Data Strategy
· Identify, transform, and connect all procurement relevant data
· Ensure consistent and trusted data across Procurement Organization
· Democratize data for self-service analytics and insights generation
· Support Sourcing Team on Business Intelligence and Advance Analytics for value creation
Strategic Business Partnering
· Work closely with business and/or procurement stakeholders to understand their goals and determine how data can be used to achieve those goals
· Lead the Insights creation from available data and drive digitalization, based on a good understanding of the data architecture and guiding the mining process, for portfolio strategy development and decision making
· Lead Future-fit Digital Product development for Global Procurement. Overall project management for digital initiatives / solutions in collaboration with other Strategy & Insights team members

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· B.S. or M.S. in a relevant technical field
· 3-5 years’ related experience in a procurement role either in Unilever / FMCG industry or in a large complex organisation with strong portfolio and market expertise
· Business and commercial acumen
· Strong analytical skills, able to make sense of large amounts of data and market intelligence
· Familiarity with basic relational databases, SQL, and data lake ecosystem
· Experience with analysis tools like R, Python is a plus
· Expert knowledge with data visualization software like Microsoft Power BI is a plus
· Ability and drive to work independently and across virtual teams
· Experience of working in cross-functional teams within a matrix environment – both F2F and virtually
· Strong critical thinking, analytical and story-telling skills to respond to multiple market/portfolio specific characteristics and influence change remotely
· Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
