Background & Purpose of the Job
Digital is changing everything about how consumer goods companies go to market. Retail media has become a critical component of the shopper journey and quickly become one of Unilever’s most significant channels of investment. This is an important role that will contribute to elevating Unilever’s retail media game in the new Compass Organization.
As a Retail Media Lead, you will have responsibility for planning, execution and optimization of retail media investments for assigned Business Unit Categories (Personal Care: Skin Cleansing & Deodorants or B&W: Hair Care & Body Care) at key accounts. This is a critical role balancing understanding of our retail customer’s priorities and passion for excellence in performance management.
This role will report into the Retail Media Manager.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
You are passionate about the Customer. Your mastery of the Customer’s priorities, business process/calendar and retail media networks unlock Unilever’s ability to land its plans with the fullest impact for the shopper end to end. You will be expected to understand and articulate industry and customers insights, business results & investment needs.
You LOVE Digital Marketing with expertise in retail media, driving results through rigorous audience and investment optimization.
You will champion an iterative way of working that enables continuous improvement – encouraging marketing that is fun, learns from failures and innovates every day to elevate Unilever’s capabilities and execution.
You are a DOT connector, fostering customer intimacy by docking with field shopper marketing peers as an active member of customer-dedicated squads, while fully integrated into the Digital Hub to drive excellence in media planning, execution, and optimization.

Relationships: Develop strong relationships with key contacts including agency partners, brand teams, Sales teams, customer merchants and shopper marketing teams to deliver against brand/portfolio objectives in retail media.

Communication: Maintain timely flow of communication including reporting, program evaluations, proposals, and project estimates. Provide point-of-view on appropriate spending initiatives & priorities.

Performance management: partner with measurement team, digital commerce and media optimization teams to iteratively improve retail media investment performance.

Agency management: leadership and collaboration with shopper and media agency partners to ensure accountability & delivery on requirements.
What You’ll Need To Succeed:

Experience working and knowledge of Target a must
·
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field; Master’s degree preferred with 3+ years of experience across the Marketing, Shopper, Digital or eCommerce landscape

Strong business and analytical acumen
·
Leading knowledge and track record of success with data driven marketing
·
Ability to lead cross functional teams to deliver complex, inter-disciplinary and often global Digital projects
·
Strong influencing capability and emotional intelligence
·
Resolve and commitment to deliver with accountability and responsibility

Pay : The pay range for this position is $84,400 to $126,600. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus : This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
