We are a passionate team of over 350 data experts, data scientists, information experts, technical specialists, and business analysts. We operate as ‘One D&A’, made up of Global engagement and expertise teams, based in our key hubs including India, the UK, and US, and local UniOps in Market D&A teams, based in our key markets. Together, we combine the best of global for scale and efficiency, and local for intimacy and impact.

Our key objectives as D&A are to:
Set the Unilever data strategy and lay the foundations to maximise the value of our data.
Deliver the connected Data Platform to accelerate access to integrated and trusted data at scale across the company for analytics and decisions.
Embed core data and analytics capabilities, leading to automation, AI, and Big Data to boost Unilever’s decision intelligence.
Lead the Data and Analytics Culture to build a future-fit workforce that values and adopts data-intelligent decision-making across all levels.

Who You Are and What You'll Do
If you are excited about data and insights and passionate about consumer product offerings with an innovative mindset for improvement, then we think this role is for you. You need to be a well-rounded commercial and analytical professional with a proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of a product, from conception to release. We’re looking for a confident leader who can guide cross-functional teams in the creation of products that improves customer development and grow market share.

Create product strategy and direction (near term and long term) aligned to the Organisation’s strategy
·
Long- and medium-term capacity and resource planning as per Product goals and roadmap
·
Manage end-to-end Product throughout the product lifecycle, from business and budget sign off, requirements gathering through to adoption and delivery of benefits
·
Create and manages a product plan to track successful delivery, including milestones, critical path activities, risks, issues and actions across the team
·
Manage relationship with Customer Teams, Business Unit, Local Stakeholders and technical teams in D&A
·
Manage vendor team where applicable
·
Serve as design authority, prioritizing features, upgrades, changes and fixes
·
Keep track of D&A innovations in market and bring relevant innovations to the Product wherever possible. Responsible for sharing “innovation insights” with the rest of the team and ensuring that these learnings are constantly embedded into the programme / product direction

Close loop with markets for validating roadmap, new features, requirements and relevance of Product
·
Mentor direct reports in line with identified development areas
·
Drive adoption and key customer metrics e.g. turnover, CAGR and measuring impact of project on said metrics
·
Provide input into the annual product budget creation
·
Work closely with the Product Managers across other workstreams and the Senior Manager to ensure continual knowledge transfer and lessons learned
What You'll Need to Succeed
·
Degree with 8+ years of relevant work experience, with minimum 2+ years in data and analytics
·
Previous FMCG / retailer facing experience, ideally with exposure to Customer development
·
Exposure and good learning in Data Science
·
At least 5 years of experience in leading cross functional teams
·
Ability to communicate complex analytic and data science solutions in a precise, and actionable manner to senior management
·
Proven success as a product developer in a managerial role, managing the end-to-end delivery roadmap, including technical delivery and change management/adoption
·
Demonstrable experience of strong stakeholder management skills
·
Deep knowledge of the Value chain in Unilever, specifically in Customer Development
·
Proven competency in managing and developing teams across reporting lines
·
Working knowledge of: Finance P&L / End to end Solution Development Life Cycle / Design Thinking, DevOps models and Agile Scrum / Demonstrable knowledge of visualization tools like PBI, Webapp or other data blending tools
