ABOUT THE ROLE

The role is Global Assistant Brand Manager for Closeup. working specifically on our Brand Engagement pillar of the team. This role supports the GBM to lead a diverse combination of purpose, consumer engagement, PR and communications strategy into action.

Closeup is one of the fastest growing and expanding brands under the Unilever Oral Care portfolio, with the vision of becoming an iconic youth confidence brand.

· You're a communications expert: Formulating a sharp communication strategy, and crafting distinctive and effective brand content
· You're a relationship expert: Forming dynamic relationships with agencies/ partners to get the absolute best from them, and seamless collaboration with brand team counterparts to fulfill brand and business objectives
· You're a can-do person: With an uncompromising drive for excellence, and a healthy disregard for conventions

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Develop communication platforms, brand content, news, messaging and media materials. Taking into account all forms of media channels and audiences.
· Orchestrate strategic partnerships with external content platforms, experts and advocates, influencers and KOLs.
· Develop an in-depth understanding of local markets, consumers and shoppers –
the business environment in which we compete, including category segments and channels.
· Project management, building project networks and defining key milestones, following up with team members.
· Assess brand performance and effectiveness of project implementation, identifying issues and opportunities, and recommending the best course of action.
· Budget management: ensuring that budgets are allocated optimally, preserving the integrity of budget forecasts, and ensuring that spending is aligned to expectations/forecasts.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & TRAITS
· Degree with at least 3 years of related marketing experience.
· Proven track record, either in-house or with an agency (both preferred).
· Experience in Advertising/ Content/ PR/ Editorial and/or Marketing, preferably on FMCG, beauty or purpose-led brands.
· Demonstrates strategic and conceptual thinking.
· Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong eye for detail.
· Sharply attuned to what's trending and talk-able in pop culture, social media and influencer landscape. Combined with strong consumer focus.
· Great teammate. Keeps a balance between personal accountability and delivery through teamwork.
· High commitment to work on many and different projects. Learns fast and delivers quickly.
