Role: Claims Technologist/ Assistant
Manager Function: R&D
Reports to: Claims & Appraisal Senior Manager
Scope: Beauty & Wellbeing Hair CTI
Location: Shanghai
Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job:
Lead global and China Hair innovation projects as Claims Work Stream Leader, build new functional capability for claims/demos generation, evaluation and substantiation.
Main Accountabilities
1. Help to define and deliver Claims development strategy for Project(s) & Consumer benefit platform OTIF. Deliver appropriate evaluation methodology to ensure claims are appealing for consumers.
2. Lead aspects of the functional capabilities-build/claims roadmap programme for consumer benefit platforms, help identifying new claims/demos opportunities in the long term.
3. Be responsible for the validation and implementation of new methods for
generating and supporting claims for innovation programme.
4. Translate claims into physical demonstrations (demos) that are consumer relevant and drive innovation understanding with consumers.
5. Analyse competitor activities to explore new insights as well as predict the further communications and make response plan.
6. Be responsible for maintaining quality of claims/demos development and processes; identify new opportunities to define & build the future needs.
7. Analyze data and extract insights from multiple sources of information and identify the opportunities, translating into consumer relevant languages.
8. Build new capability for Claims & Demos development work, e.g. Digital tools, etc.
9. Provide coaching to other junior team members.

Relevant Experience:
- BSc or MSc (or equivalent) with chemical background.
- Experienced in Project development/management work.
- Or Consumer research related experience.
- 2-5 year working experience.
