About the Brand

Unilever International is Unilever’s White Space Arm.

We work across the world to fill white spaces for Unilever.

As intrapreneurs , we introduce Unilever’s brands into white space geographies like Korea, Pacific Islands, Mongolia, and spearhead launches of iconic household brands like Dove, Lifebuoy, Sunlight, Fair & Lovely, TRESemme into big markets like U.S, China, Western Europe and Southeast Asia and North Asia.

As Unilever’s growth engine, we establish global white space businesses in key channels such as Health & Beauty, Discounters, E-Commerce and alternate channels such as travel retail, marketing to institutional partners like the United Nations, and seeding Unilever brands to overseas diaspora who crave for a taste of their familiar home brands.

About the Role:

·  We build categories and brands like Cif, Horlicks, Simple, St Ives, Snuggle, Vaseline, Close Up, Hellmann’s, Surf, globally across markets, media and channels, by enhancing brand awareness and brand through creative and effective digital mediums. We launch Unilever brands in new markets and bring them to life.
·  You’ll play a central role in delivering continued growth of Malaysia business via seeding and scale-up plans for Unilever core brands.
·  You’ll lead holistic marketing plans including social media, influencers, shopper marketing, and impactful brand activation to grow penetration and market share.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & New Product Development (NPD)

·  Lead best in class holistic marketing plans for key brand launch and growth in Malaysia e.g., Simple, St. Ives, Pepsodent etc.
·  Lead local social assets creative development and media plan with agencies; Point Of Sales Materials (POSM) development and execution; activations; with diligent performance tracking.
·  Collaborate with UI global BG team and regional cross functional team to land NPDs in Malaysia.

Business Performance Analysis & Actions

·  Partner with Marketing Head and Business Development Managers (BDMs) to deliver in-year revenue, penetration, market share targets.
·  Support Marketing Head in preparing for key business reviews/ presentations.
·  Qualify new brand seeding opportunities via consumer insight, market analysis, financial feasibility.
·  Develop marketing plans and innovation calendar to drive Annual Joint Business Planning exercise with Distributors/ Retailers.
·  Own and track Brand Marketing Investment (BMI) budgets.

Stakeholder Management

·  Develop strong working relationships with local BDMs, distributor marketing teams, and creative/ media/ activation agencies.
·  Share best practices and learnings with wider marketing team and reapply others’ successes.

Key Stakeholders:

·  UI Marketing, Business Development, Supply Chain and Finance.
·  Creative and media agencies, brand activation agencies.
·  Distributors and retailers (drug-pharma, beauty, hyper/ supermarket).

Essential Experience/Skill/Knowledge:

·  3-5 years of marketing experience in Malaysia in top-tier FMCG companies.
·  Demonstrate strategic mindset, entrepreneurial drive, and adaptability.
·  Have effective communication in English, negotiation, and influencing skills.
·  Solid project management skills to independently lead and deliver key initiatives.
·  Track record of delivering brand revenue, market share, and penetration growth.
·  Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
