Your Team:

Our Underwriting teams work with companies worldwide to create insurance solutions designed for specific industries and business challenges, supporting customers as diverse as the world's largest consumer brands, tech companies and the global aviation and shipping industry, but also floating wind parks or private pilots.

The Commercial Liability Insurance team works with large to mid-sized national and international corporate clients in Central-Eastern Europe, offering a wide range of general and specialist insurance products.

As part of a highly specialized and experienced team across 10 countries, you will support the Regional Head of Liability and the regional underwriters in Vienna with their Underwriting activities

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into the underwriting process, both on a national and an international level.

Your responsibilities:

Support underwriting of new and renewal accounts, performing pre-underwriting activities such as sanction checks and collating claims data

Chase brokers for additional / outstanding underwriting information

Model risks using our pricing tools

Attend meetings with brokers and clients alongside the underwriting team

Handle document management and update systems for the team

Liaise with other functions including Operations, Credit Control and Claims

Develop and maintain peer relationships with brokers, clients and other Underwriting teams

What You’ll Bring to the Role

Completion of a bachelor's/masters university degree by September 2026

Strong interest in finance/insurance

Able to adapt and work effectively in different situations and remain calm under pressure.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Have a pro-active and positive attitude to teamwork, able to assist others and also take on your own responsibilities

A curious and creative mindset, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm to own and drive your personal development.

Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze, study, or examine data in detail, draw appropriate conclusions, and present solutions to others.

Good computer skills, including MS/Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential.

Fluent English language skills

Working Hours: Full-time, 38,5 hours/week

Annual gross salary: from EUR 50.000
