Cash Management Associate

Job description
Position summary:
We are looking for a Cash Management Analyst to perform the daily liquidity activities of Allianz Partners' legal entities. This role is responsible for managing daily cash operations, including cash reconciliation, cash forecasting, cash pooling and cash investment, ensuring accuracy, compliance and optimal use of company funds.
Key responsibilities:
Daily cash reconciliation:
- Monitor cash balances across all bank accounts.
- Reconcile discrepancies between actual balances and forecasts.
- Investigate unusual transactions or variations.
- Review internal cash transfers to ensure accurate postings.
Daily cash forecasting:
- Prepare timely and accurate cash flow reports.
- Analyse daily cash inflows and outflows.
- Forecast daily cash positions for each bank account.
Cash pooling:
- Allocate funds between accounts to maintain adequate liquidity.
- Invest daily surplus in Allianz cash pooling structures.
Cash investment:
- Research and evaluate investment opportunities when cash pooling is not available.
- Allocate surplus funds to alternative short-term financial instruments.
Performance monitoring:
- Prepare financial reports to measure the effectiveness of cash management processes and decisions.
Essential skills and abilities:
Communication:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical and management skills:
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesise complex information.
- Ability to consolidate large volumes of data into clear and simple results.
- Flexibility and openness to approach challenges from different perspectives.
Financial knowledge:
- Solid understanding of financial principles.
- Practical experience in treasury management.
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
