The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and manage the procurement function to ensure efficient operations and delivery of commercially beneficial solutions for Allianz which are aligned to local and global procurement policies and procedures. Please note, this is a 6-month contract.
Main Responsibilities
· Define, negotiate, and implement strategies to optimise the procurement function across Allianz and deliver cost savings and service/performance benefits.
· Manage key and complex contract negotiations to ensure favourable commercial and financial conditions for Allianz, whilst ensuring mutual agreement between parties is achieved.
· Maintain and promote social, ethical, and organisational values when conducting business negotiations.
· Lead the continuous improvement of procurement strategy, policy, procedures, cost containment, capability, and compliance across AAL and sponsor procurement projects.
· Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in relation to procurement and sourcing to support, challenge and validate business thinking, operations, and projects.
About you
· Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and industry accreditations, where necessary.
· Extensive experience leading a procurement function in a medium to large organisation.
· Advanced ability to collaborate with executive leaders and influence outcomes.
· Advanced commercial acumen and high level negotiation skills.
· Advanced financial acumen including budgeting, forward analysis, cost modelling and financial management.
