The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the security architecture and technology direction across the IT and Cyber Security domain.

 

About the role

·  Overseeing Security Architecture Vision and aligning it with the overall Australian and Group Information Technology and Cyber Strategy.
·  Supporting strategic security initiatives, e.g., Cybersecurity and Identity and Access Management (IAM) programs of work and assisting with the delivery of supporting artefacts to provide business benefits.
·  Maintaining Security Architecture Principles and reference architecture, ensuring that the principles, architecture, and project artefacts are kept up-to-date and appropriately applied in adherence to security strategy and planning processes.
·  Safeguarding the integrity of security architecture and design across departmental or application domains in accordance with the direction set by Strategy and Architecture.
·  Providing expert technical input and advice into the development of business and technical strategies, enterprise security architecture, and contributing to the business planning process.
·  Designing and building security technology roadmaps that align with business roadmaps and strategy to meet stated business direction within agreed timeframes.

 

About you

·  Extensive security architecture experience, ideally with qualifications such as Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture (SABSA), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and knowledge of security architecture frameworks and technologies e.g. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), ISO27001, Essential 8.
·  Technical experience with security design principles and a detailed knowledge of security protocols and standards across the technology stack including Infrastructure, Platforms as a Service, Cloud, Integration, Web services, REST, Application Programming Interface (APls).
·  Strong understanding of emerging security technologies and their impacts or benefits.
·  Broad knowledge of major trends, strategic directions, and regulatory / legislative requirements
·  Comprehensive experience within Insurance or Financial Services.
·  Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends, and links that inform judgements and solutions.
