Job description

The SAP Application Designer – SAP FI.CO Support Analyst/Business Analyst acts as a key interface between business stakeholders and IT teams. The role focuses on supporting, designing, and continuously improving SAP Finance solutions. The position combines functional expertise, application support, and business analysis responsibilities to ensure stable operations and alignment with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional support on SAP FI.CO.SD.MM module and third party systems
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve incidents and service requests related to finance processes such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, and Internal Orders, and third party systems
• Perform root cause analysis and ensure sustainable resolution of recurring issues.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Application Design and Functional Expertise

• Participate in the functional design and evolution of SAP Finance applications and third party systems
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.
• Contribute to application architecture discussions, ensuring consistency and alignment with existing systems.
• Support configuration changes and functional enhancements in coordination with technical teams.

Business Analysis and Business Relationship

• Act as a business analyst, serving as a trusted functional partner for business users.
• Collect, clarify, and challenge business requirements to ensure feasibility and value.
• Support business users during change initiatives, enhancements, and projects.
• Facilitate communication between business, IT, and external partners.

Testing, Change, and Release Management

• Prepare and execute functional tests, including unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance tests.
• Support change and release activities in collaboration with development and technical teams.
• Ensure proper documentation of changes, incidents, and known issues.

Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Management

• Identify opportunities to optimize finance processes and system usage.
• Contribute to knowledge transfer, documentation, and onboarding of new team members.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience

Experience 

• 1–5 years of professional experience 
  

Functional and Technical Skills

• Functional knowledge of SAP FI and CO modules.
• Experience in SAP application support within a complex, multi-system environment.
• Understanding of finance and controlling business processes.
• Ability to read and understand functional configuration and technical flows.

Methodologies and Ways of Working

• Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery models.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management.
• Experience in business analysis or similar business-facing functional roles is mandatory.
• Good level of French
