We are looking for an Experienced Test Engineer to join our Verification & Validation team. This role is focused on planning, executing and analyzing vehicle-level tests to ensure compliance, performance, and competitiveness, with strong emphasis on braking, handling, ADAS and certification testing.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical depth, a hands-on and structured engineering approach, high autonomy and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key responsibilities:
· Plan, execute, and analyze Verification & Validation (V&V) tests focused on:
· Braking performance
· Handling and vehicle dynamics
· ADAS functional and performance testing
· Perform and support braking certification tests, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal standards
· Conduct competitor vehicle benchmarking and analysis, including test execution, data comparison, and technical reporting
· Drive test vehicles (trucks and buses) during development, benchmarking, and certification activities
· Prepare vehicles for testing, including instrumentation and sensor installation
· Process, analyze, and interpret test data to generate technical conclusions, recommendations and engineering reports
· Proactively identify opportunities to improve test methods, processes, and data analysis
· Independently manage test activities and technical problem-solving, ensuring efficient execution
· Frequent travel is required
Required qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
· Strong experience in automotive testing, preferably with trucks and/or buses
Proven hands-on experience with:
· Braking, Handling, and ADAS testing
· Braking certification tests
· Competitor vehicle analysis and benchmarking
· Strong experience in data processing and analysis, including:
· Vision
· CANalyzer
· Canape
· Proven experience with test instrumentation and equipment, including:
· Steering wheel force transducers
· Pressure gauges
· GPS systems
· Thermocouples
· VBOX
· Ipetronik and Dewesoft data acquisition modules
· Proven driving experience with heavy-duty vehicles
· Valid Category D/E driver’s license (mandatory)
· Fluent in English, written and spoken.
Preferred qualifications:
· Experience in heavy-duty vehicle development or certification environments
· Knowledge of international standards: ECE R13, ECE R131 e ECE R130 e R79
· Exposure to international regulations and homologation processes
· Collaboration experience with simulation or CAE teams
