What you will do

As a Product Technology Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our Autonomous Truck products and in driving platform and interface standardization decisions together with colleagues across engineering divisions within the Volvo Group. The role combines technical product roadmap planning, architectural design, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination to support scalable, standardized development for our Autonomous Vehicles, aligned with customer needs and use cases.

 

You will work closely with engineering teams, our virtual driver partners and other providers, as well as commercial and customer-facing functions, and senior stakeholders to align cost-efficient, future-proof technology decisions with business, product, and customer objectives.

 

Who are you?

You’re a visionary with a passion for shaping the future of mobility. Your experience spans technology architecture, product development, or technical planning in complex domains like autonomous driving and ADAS. You understand the challenges of electrical and electronic architecture and know how to design scalable platform solutions that can support high-volume production.

 

Your technical expertise is second to none—you have a deep understanding of autonomous driving technologies, from virtual driver development to the hardware that brings these systems to life. You’ve played a key role in defining technical roadmaps, platform strategies, and architectural frameworks, ensuring alignment between long-term vision and near-term delivery.

 

But your strengths go beyond technology. You’re an exceptional communicator, skilled at presenting complex ideas to senior stakeholders and crafting clear documentation. Collaboration is at the heart of how you work—you thrive in cross-functional and matrixed environments, partnering with engineering, product planning, and program management to drive results.

 

You’re structured and proactive, able to prioritize effectively and adapt to changing needs and timelines. Operating at the intersection of technology, product, and organization feels natural to you, and you know how to balance strategic architectural thinking with practical execution. Above all, you can analyze complex technical information, structure it clearly, and make it accessible to diverse audiences.
