What you will do
The intern role provides students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment and to support/promote the students’ career goals through contact with professionals in their fields of study. Internships are structured learning experiences where interns and our full-time professionals work together. The internship experience enables students to participate in professional activities for Volvo Group/Mack Trucks by contributing to ongoing activities and special projects. The intern assignments allow students to apply and develop their knowledge and skills for the mutual benefit of the students and Volvo Group.
Core Responsibilities
• Provide communications support to various business areas/departments within the organization
• Develop content for newsletters, digital information boards, company text messaging to employees, web sites, brochures, presentations, etc.
• Create stories and messages that engage and inspire employees
• Provide photography and videography support for communications activities and events
• Use full range of communications channels to deliver company messages to employees
• Support the development, planning and execution of employee and community events

• Attention to Detail: Adhere to company/department standards, actively check and proofread work for accuracy

• Excellent Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite applications
Minimum Education and Experience:
• Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a Communications, Marketing, Graphic Arts, Digital Media degree and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the Internship.
• Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75
• Spring interns may work up to 30 hours per week
• Prefer a motivated Junior or Senior in good academic standing

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00.The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
