The WCM Leader will assist in setting the route map for our manufacturing site as we continue our journey towards being a world class organization.
Who You Are & What You'll Do
The WCM Leader works directly with the manufacturing and reliability engineers to prioritize continuous improvement projects. In this role, you will assist in developing and conducting specific training in process improvement tools such as 5W2H, 5-Why, Kaizen methodology, Statistical Process Controls, and other similar topics. You will be responsible for tracking the WCM activities that occur throughout the facility and reporting our progress against these planned activities. Being involved in our WCM culture, you will chair the Focused Improvement (FI) Pillar.
• You're a born leader: You will drive the WCM initiatives at a leading site for Unilever, sharing your successes and best practices with other sites. Coaching and mentoring at all levels of the organization, you will be expected to challenge both blue collar and white collar populations on their progress and actions in driving our WCM agenda.
• You're a strategy guru: You will assist in the creation of a site route map, defining the activities we must take to drive forward our continuous improvement culture. Using data, you will prioritize key projects that will deliver cost savings while eliminating quality defects.
• You're a teacher: You will assist in training project leaders in continuous improvement tools. Having a deep understanding of the kaizen methodology, you will share this knowledge openly with others as we expand our improvement culture to all levels of the organization. You understand various learning styles and can adjust your presentation accordingly.
• You're a culture & change champion: You will challenge the status quo and constantly be identifying better, quicker, and smarter ways to complete a task. You strive for zero defects and do not accept mediocrity.
