SALARY: up to £25,000 dependant on experience
Quarterly bonus structure + additional benefits
MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
There are over 30,000 salons and freelance hairdressers in the UK as well as the fast growing area of barbers that all want professional hair care brands. The haircare industry is segmented in to groups based on differing levels of products and services they offer. The role of the Telesales team is contact the salons and barbershops at the lower end where spend is quite low but it is where the ‘mass' of the customer base sits.
This role will service the ‘mass' accounts by telephone, promoting and selling TIGI products, taking orders and gathering information. A key focus will be to build the database of accounts through cold calling and prospecting. The role will work closely with the field sales team to ensure efficient territory management and a sharing of prospect accounts.
The telesales function is a new team within the TIGI UK Business and will play a pivotal role in driving growth. The role provides an opportunity to develop premium brand sales and commercial expertise in the environment of the professional hair-care industry. Building customer focus and relationships through the management of salons and barbers, demonstrating good selling and communication skills to drive growth in a challenging and competitive market.
JOB SUMMARY
· Hitting monthly/ quarterly sales targets
· Delivering KPI targets (calls per day, new distribution, promotional campaigns etc)
· Building the database to customers through cold calling/ prospecting
· Contact salons and barbershops by telephone to promote products
· Take orders for products over the telephone
· Educate the customer on the products, tailoring the product benefits to meet the needs of specific customer groups
· Maximise the sales opportunities from customers by analysing their purchases, identifying missing lines out of key customer specific product categories and recommending and upselling additional lines.
· Advise customers on forthcoming promotions and new products specific to the customer
· Handle customer questions and queries
· Obtain additional/update customer information to help gain a better understanding of their business
· Record customer reaction to the products offered
· Input order details into the computer system
· Record customer details and details of transaction
· Support field sales team as and when needed
KEY REQUIREMENTS
· Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and strategies
· Minimum 1 year experience in sales or telemarketing
· Proficient in Microsoft office, databases and other computer applications
· Good communication skills
· Good selling skills (incl. objection handling)
· Experience in information gathering and management
· Have a persuasive personality and have confidence in negotiating
· Self-motivated and shows good initiative
· Tenacious and resilient
· High energy levels
· Experience of working with CRM systems / databases
