Job Title: User / Maintainer, Technical Operator
Salary: up to £25,500 plus shift allowance and benefits.
Location: Gloucester
Unilever Gloucester have a number of exciting opportunities for the new roles of NVQ3 Qualified User / Maintainer Technical Operators. They will be responsible for using and maintaining equipment in the Manufacturing of Ice Cream within Unilever Walls Ice Cream.

This role will be an operational role working in our production area, reporting to the Shift Leader Supervisor and established as part of a line crew and responsible for maintenance activities on a weekly basis and at times of scheduled overhauls.
The ability to complete in a timely manner fault finding and repairing Complex breakdowns is required from the candidates.
The successful candidate will form part of the area technology bay operating team, and will be responsible to ensure that the production outputs achieved through a safe and quality focussed mind-set.

Key responsibilities for the role include:
Providing technical guidance for all Technical & Machine Operators within the designated technology area.
Providing support and communication channels with the Shift Leader Supervisors and Product Technology Leaders

The successful candidate for this role will be required to:
Operate, Repair, Maintain, Improve equipment within the Sourcing Unit.
Support the delivery of operational KPIs (Productivity, Quality, Safety, Health and Environment, Cost, Delivery, Morale and Innovation.

Supported by the core skills to work within an autonomous team, the Technical Operator will diligently follow standards of production delivery and drive continuous improvement.

Strong mechanical aptitude within the manufacturing sector, Leadership capability with a focus on decision-making and problem solving.
Good communication and people skills is essential to the role.
