Background & Purpose of the Job
The Tax Specialist – Accounting & Audit will join the Unilever North America Tax Department and will gain exposure to both internal and external business partners including the IRS team, 3rd party service provider, Unilever Global Tax and IT Teams. The focus of this position is to work on the federal audit of Unilever United States, Inc and to prepare APA annual reports. As a member of the audit team, you will play a critical role in progressing and closing audits as well as protecting Unilever’s reputation with US Tax Authorities.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do

Partner with the IRS to discuss audit issues and the preparation of responses to Information Document Requests (IDRs)

Common topics of IRS queries include Acquisitions/Amortization of acquired intangibles, Calculation of NOLs, Business acquisition expenses, fixed assets/depreciation, and dispositions
·
Prepare Annual Reports for two Advanced Pricing Agreements to prove that the current year pricing adheres to the agreement
·
Support federal tax reporting and possibly federal compliance
What You’ll Need To Succeed

Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Accounting. CPA is a plus!
·
2+ years corporate tax or audit management experience a plus
·
Interest in corporate taxation
·
SAP knowledge, interest/comfort with IT/data/general ledger systems
·
Proficiency with Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint
Pay : The pay range for this position is $67,000 to $100,500. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus : This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
