Job description

JOB PURPOSE

Your role as a Category Procurement assistant is to help create top and bottom-line growth and value for Unilever and our strategic suppliers from a deep understanding of our Category strategies and deployment of our Procurement strategies in our business. This includes:

·  Supporting material cost savings agenda
·  Supporting the development of innovations
·  Supporting the sustainability agenda

This involves business engagement across functions within the EU Deo community like R&D, Brand, countries, Supply Chain, Quality, global procurement networks as well as suppliers. Exceptional communication skills, stakeholder management, bias for action, curiosity, influencing, strategy development and project management skills are key elements for the successful delivery in this role.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

·  Supporting material cost savings agenda:

Steer cross functional team to deliver savings plan on time in full with follow up of actions and timelines

Drive ideation and funnel build with cross functional team: investigate potential opportunities, pitch and influence stakeholders to get project approved and resources allocated

·  Supporting the development of innovations:

Ensure early Procurement & Supplier involvement in innovation and supply chain projects – acts as core team member during design and development phase to ensure launch on time in full

Ensure that projects are meeting optimal cost efficiency and aligned with our suppliers

Keep category PCR roadmap up to date based on latest projects and volume development

Steer sustainability projects such as PCR inclusion in plastic packaging with cross functional team and suppliers

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

·  Undergraduate degree in business administration, supply chain or equivalent
·  Fluent in English
·  Excel skills
·  Outstanding communication and influencing skills
·  Take ownership and responsibility; have energy and drive
·  Analytical skills that provide clear insights for action
·  Drive results together with the team; be able to work in networks; be able to work independently
·  Working in a virtual global environment
·  External orientation
